I'll provide an English version below. --- Translation --- German Linux distribution merges into Red Hat Red Hat supports DLD customers with transfer to Red Hat The German Linux distribution (DLD) from delix Computer GmBH merges into future Linux versions of Red Hat. Thus Red Hat users will profit from additional DLD features. DLD customers can use a special offering until 25 February 2000: By sending the installation CD and the serial number to Softline AG, Offenburg, they can obtain the current Red Hat 6.1 Deluxe for 89 instead of 179 Deutschmarks. [approx US$ 40/80, Translator's note] Red Hat will shortly supply an updatescript on their ftp - server that wil make easier the technical transition from DLD 6.01 to RH 6.1. On RH's web server users also find documentation describing the differences between the distributions and giving tips for doing the transition. The DLD new user support, their mailing lists and FAQs will be continued until the end of 1999. Dirk Haaga, director of consulting and training with Red Hat GmbH, former head of delix Computer GmbH: "This attractive offer to change to Red Hat Linux 6.1 Deluxe is interesting to all DLD customers. As the former DLD developers strongly influence further development with Red Hat, the advantages of both distributions will be joined." --- EOT --- - mike
