Subject: first AbiWord binaries for PPC versions of Linux

I'm pleased to announce that binaries of AbiWord, the award-winning Open 
Source word processor, are now available for PowerPC versions of Linux, 
thanks to a generous hardware donation from the good folks at LinuxPPC, Inc.

The latest release, AbiWord 0.7.7, features enhanced Word compatibility, 
superscript/subscript, view ruler, dramatic BeOS improvements, the ability 
to use compressed AbiWord files, much faster interactive spell check, new 
localizations for Catalan, Czech, and Portuguese, updates to the Danish and 
Finnish localizations, and a first pass at the Options dialog. 

AbiWord has been known to run for quite a while now on various PowerPC Linux 
distributions, such as MkLinux and LinuxPPC, for anyone willing to compile 
it from source themselves.  Now that we have a LinuxPPC build machine, we're 
officially releasing binary versions, too.
