Subject: First Linux ISP launched in the UK

UKLINUX.NET - the UK's first ISP specifically aimed at users of Linux and
other Open Source/Free Software has been launched this week.

The service includes unlimited Internet access, with no subscription
charges, offering up to 128Kb/s ISDN connections and the following
features:

20MB PHP3/Perl enabled web space
MySQL and PostgreSQL facilities
unlimited email in the form anything@username.uklinux.net
USENET news access
Unified messaging service (fax/voice messages delivered to users mailbox)
Local mirrors of the most popular Linux distributions and FreeBSD
User Support areas in the form of "mutual help forums"

We are also developing a portal site to facilitate easy access to the UK's
many Open Source/Free Software facilities including LUGs, providers of
commercial services, support areas and more.

All of the profits raised from UKLINUX.NET will be invested back into the
UK Open Source/Free Software community by sponsoring developers of Free
Software through University, sponsoring Colleges and Universities in
developing Free Software projects and funding Free Software projects.

The first Free Software offering to come from UKLINUX.NET is a patch to
the Cistron RADIUS server to facilitate sendmail relaying based upon a
dynamic IP address so long as the connection has been authenticated by the
local RADIUS server. This is vital for ISPs on shared facilities networks.

Please note that this service is only available within the United Kingdom.
