Denver, CO (Jan 17, 2000) -- In response to the tremendous growth of Linux 
over the past few years, Colorado Linux Info Quest (CLIQ) is proud to announce
the first ever Linux conference and exhibit to be held along the Colorado
Front Range, Saturday, April 1st, 2000 at the Denver Tech Center Marriott.

CLIQ, in association with local Linux user groups and local and regional Linux 
business sponsors, will be holding a one day event featuring a full days 
schedule of Linux exhibits, invited talks, real world demonstrations and Birds 
of a Feather sessions. 

"I'm really happy to see that Colorado will be getting a Linux show of its 
own," said Mark Bolzern, CEO of LinuxMall.com, one of the sponsors of the 
event.  "Colorado is a huge hub of Linux activity and it's great to see a 
group like CLIQ helping to educate the public about Linux."

"Linux has always been about sharing and CLIQ is proud to host an event
that will help share information about computing alternatives with rest of the
Rocky Mountain Region," said Michael J. Hammel, Chairman of CLIQ.

The event is expected to draw at least 600 people to view exhibits, 
talks, demos and actively participate in Birds of a Feather sessions.


Event Day Schedule

The show will run from 9AM to 5PM on Saturday, April 1st, 2000 at the Marriott
Tech Center, just off I-25 in South Denver.  The current schedule calls for a
keynote session from 9AM to 10AM, an exhibit floor open from 10AM till 5PM, one
Demo Room open for 45 minute demos running the full day, one Speakers Room also
running the full day with up to 7 sessions, and two Birds of a Feather rooms
for open discussions on any topic.


Registration

Anyone wishing to attend may register for either a $45 all-access pass or a
$15 exhibit floor only pass.  Announcements regarding advance registration by 
check and by credit card are forthcoming.

Exhibitor registration will begin in mid-to-late January 2000.  Exhibit costs 
are $325 for a single 10x10 booth.  A limited number of multi-booth options will
be available on a first come, first served basis.  Registration deadlines have
not been set at this time.  Detailed information for exhibiting vendors will be
available by the time vendor registration is opened.

Vendors and visitors should check the CLIQ web site, http://thecliq.org, 
often for more up to date information.


Sponsorships

CLIQ is seeking a limited number of sponsors for this event.  Sponsorship 
is $500 and includes first choice of booth space, a single 10x10 booth (extra 
blocks will require additional fees), and the sponsoring company's name 
included with all CLIQ advertisements and banners for this event.

Additionally, CLIQ will also consider offers for sponsorship of the opening
keynote, invited speakers and a possible closing keynote.  At this time, 
details for such sponsorships have not been finalized.  Please contact

About CLIQ

Colorado Linux Info Quest, known as CLIQ to it's members, is a registered 
non-profit organization in the state of Colorado.  It is comprised of
volunteers from Linux user groups throughout the Colorado Front Range.  The
