To: nfs@valinux.com, nfs-devel@linux.kernel.org From: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@fys.uio.no> Date: 23 Jan 2000 22:18:10 +0100 Subject: [NFS] New version of Linux NFSv3 client is out... Hello, I've put up a new version of the Linux NFSv3 client in the usual place. Please find it as http://www.fys.uio.no/~trondmy/src/linux-2.2.14-nfsv3-0.16.11.dif.bz2 or http://www.fys.uio.no/~trondmy/src/linux-2.2.14-nfsv3.dif.bz2 I will commit these changes to the LinuxNFS CVS repository ASAP. Please bear with me... A few changes have been made to these patches that it is perhaps worth mentioning in this mailing: - Fixes to sunrpc code following suggestions by Alexey Kuznetsov - Fixes to dircache both to improve stability, and in order to comply with connectathon 99 `telldir' test. - Fixes to NFSv3 code to allow for servers which return incomplete attribute etc information in NFS3PROC_READ, NFS3PROC_READDIR, and NFS3PROC_READLINK. All these functions require the iovec data to be shifted if servers decide to return short header info. The NFSv3 client patches provide a full NFSv3 client with NLM4 locking manager. Please note that these patches do NOT provide the knfsd server with NFSv3 capabilities. Please note that in order to mount NFSv3 partitions, you will need to pick up a modified version of the `mount' program. Patches, and RPMS for the latter may be found in http://www.fys.uio.no/~trondmy/nfsv3-mount Cheers, Trond _______________________________________________ NFS maillist - NFS@lists.sourceforge.net http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/nfs
