PRESS RELEASE

Funcom and Troll Tech announce a Linux version of Funcom's Massive
Multi-Player game Anarchy Online

- Oslo, Feb 1st 2000 - Funcom is pleased to announce the Linux version of
our Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) Anarchy Online.
Anarchy Online is Funcom's largest project ever and the game will be
launched during the year 2000 after a thorough beta testing. The game can be
compared to online titles such as Everquest and Asheron's Call. However,
Anarchy Online is set in a sci-fi environment 30.000 years into the future
on a distant planet called Rubi-Ka. The players interact and play in a
graphical detailed 3D-world alongside thousands of other players.

Funcom has been using Linux and Troll Tech's Qt technology since
project-launch approximately three years ago. Qt powers editors, game tools
and the game client itself, and the Qt technology has allowed Funcom to keep
nearly the entire code platform independent.
"Using Qt technology has proven very beneficial in terms of project planning
and time management. Making the Linux port will now be a trivial operation,
" states Marius Kjeldahl, Funcom's VP of Technology.

The Linux version will be nearly identical to the Windows version and will
support all the major Linux-distributions and supported 3D-hardware.
