by Ellie Quigley, and Linux Assembly Language Programming by Bob
Neveln.

The Linux Desk Reference by Scott Hawkins is an information-packed
must-have reference for experienced system administrators, and newbies
alike. This recently released guide is organized by task making
information easy to access even for the newest user. Every command is
delivered with practical examples, valuable tips, tricks and
warnings. The expert Linux user on the go will appreciate the
"road-map" style, alphabetical, quick-find reference section. Coverage
includes files and the filesystem, X Windows, Email, The Linux Kernel,
Shells, Processes and more. Everything you ever wanted to know about
Linux is in Linux Desk Reference.

Linux Shells by Example by Ellie Quigley takes the reader on a journey
of Linux shells. It starts with the basics by showing what Linux
shells are, what they do, and how they integrate with other LINUX
utilities and processes. But then, Linux Shells by Example carries the
reader step-by-step to expert-level programming techniques. Quigley
teaches you to master creating, running, and debugging shell
scripts. Detailed and valuable coverage of Grep, Sed, and Gawk,
including pattern scanning, text filtering, and reporting, are covered
in this indispensable, "hands-on" edition. This book will publish in
March 2000.

Linux Assembly Language Programming by Bob Neveln is the ultimate
guide for Linux assembly language programming. Neveln has written a
practical, hands-on tutorial. Included are details on how to build
Linux device drivers. The free CD-ROM at the back of the book contains
all the code samples covered in this invaluable tutorial. Look for
Linux Assembly Language Programming in May 2000.
