The following topic areas are of potential interest to ACSAC. * Internet technologies * Electronic commerce * Intrusion detection and response / audit and audit reduction * Network management and smart card applications * Mobile computing * Legal and ethical concerns over protecting intellectual property * Incident response planning - governmental and other perspectives * New paradigms for protecting electronic intellectual capital * Securing very high-speed telecommunications (e.g., ATM) * Defensive information warfare * Software safety and program correctness * Security in health care and law enforcement * Crypto, key management, and digital signature applications TECHNICAL PAPERS We encourage technical papers that relate to any of the above topics or other applications of computer security. Tutorials are either full day (6 instruction hours) or half day (3 instruction hours). We expect about 250 attendees, with about 70% industry, 20% government, and 10% academia. Last year approximately half the papers submitted were from outside the US and we have growing mix of attendees from outside the US.
