Technology and Strategic Alliance to Support Growing Use of Embedded Linux

SAN FRANCISCO, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- TurboLinux, Inc., the
high-performance Linux company, today announced taking an equity investment
and entering into a technology and strategic partnership with Lynx Real-Time
Systems, Inc., a leader in embedded Linux and a pioneer in the open standards
real-time operating system (RTOS) industry. Financial details were not
disclosed.
"TurboLinux recognizes the tremendous opportunity that Linux offers in the
real-time operating system and embedded system market sectors," said
Cliff Miller, CEO of TurboLinux. "Lynx Real-Time Systems is a recognized

Linux-based products used by manufacturers of embedded systems with scalable
operating system requirements, who choose to use the open source Linux

expanding Lynx' worldwide sales and marketing efforts and support global
infrastructure for Lynx' LynuxWorks(TM) product family, which includes the
company's flagship products: the LynxOS(R) RTOS and BlueCat(TM) Linux. The
investment will also help Lynx advance its technology for use in embedded
systems, such as Internet servers and hand-held wireless devices, and will
