About Linux:
Linux is a Unix like computer operating system originally written by a
Finnish student named Linus Torvalds. Linux started around 1991 and has
quickly blossomed into the fastest growing computer operating system
available. Currently, Linux is available for little or no cost and can
run on most popular computer platforms including Intel PC's, AMD PC's,
Apple Macintosh's, Apple Power PC's, Sun Microsystems SparcStations,
Sun Microsystems UltraSparc Systems, SGI workstations, 3-com Palm Pilot,
DEC ALPHA based workstations, and several other platforms.

About MBSLUG:
MBSLUG is an acronym for "Midland Bay City Saginaw Linux Users Group".
MBSLUG is a local group of Linux users and promoters, as well as people
who are simply curious about Linux. MBSLUG meets once a month on
campus at Saginaw Valley State University. There is no cost to attend
any MBSLUG meeting or event. Everyone is welcome to attend, even if
they are not running Linux. The meetings generally occur on the third
Tuesday of the month. A general event calendar is available from the
web site http://cs.svsu.edu/mbslug.
MBSLUG was organized in 1999 as a co-operative effort between Bill Kent of
Midland and Ron Gage of Saginaw, both avid Linux professionals.
