Subject: Emacs 20.7 released

GNU Emacs 20.7 has been released.  It is available on the GNU ftp
sites at ftp.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/ and the mirrors of that site (see
below for a list.)

  Bug reports should go to bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org.  You can use the
function M-x report-emacs-bug to do this.

  Emacs 20.7 is another bug-fix release.  Please note that this
release contains only the most important bug fixes.  Many other fixes,
for instance from bug-gnu-emacs, have only gone into our current
development sources for Emacs 21.

  The two major fixes in 20.7 are

1. Emacs 20.7 contains a new unexelf.c, fixing problems on some recent
GNU/Linux systems.

2. Emacs 20.7 adresses the recent RUS-CERT security advice.
PTY-related changes have been made for GNU/Linux, thanks to NIIBE
Yutaka <gniibe@mri.co.jp>.

  For the rest of the fixes, please see the change log entries in the
sources.


  Most GNU software is compressed using the GNU `gzip' compression program.

  Source code is available on most sites distributing GNU software.
Executables for various systems and information about using gzip can
be found at the URL http://www.gzip.org.
