Subject: [suse-security-announce] Problems after Kernel Update

Hello,
alot of customers report problems after updateing the kernel.
Please, execute 'mk_initrd' and 'lilo' after upgrading the kernel.

BTW, some people ask me about the security bug I mentoined in
the 'Solution' section. This bug was a FIN flooding vulnerability,
which only exists in the plain 2.2.16 kernel, not in 2.2.16 + Alan
Cox' erratas kernel and not in the 2.2.17pre* kernels.

Bye,
     Thomas
