Second round entries to the Software Carpentry `build', `config', and
`track' design competitions are now available on-line at

The project wishes to thank all first round and second round entrants
for their great ideas and hard work.  We're looking forward to these
activities in the coming months:

  - Announcement of second round winners on July 31, 2000.

  - A new, improved Software Carpentry `test' design competition, to
    design a tool for software testing.

  - Planning for the start of implementation work this fall.

  - Continued discussion on the sc-discuss e-mail list.
