Subject: NLUUG Call for Papers : Autumn Conference November 9, 2000

The Dutch Unix User Group NLUUG calls upon people who have an
interesting contribution for a tutorial or presentation to submit an
abstract before August 25, 2000, for review by the program committee.

Abstracts should be submitted via WWW using the URL:
http://www.nluug.nl/cgi-bin/nj2000-abstract-uk

Presentations and tutorials are being solicited in areas including but
not limited to:

Security tools and techniques: Network Intrusion Detection,
practical cryptography and auditing
     Integration of systems and applications
     High-available systems, clustering
     Parallel computing
     (Hierarchical) storage/backup
Networking: traffic shaping, IP filtering, integrating new
technologies
Tuning: kernel, webservers, mailsystems, TCP/IP stack
     Software development
     Kernel-hacking
     Nomadic and wireless computing
     System and network performance tuning
File Systems (and file system internals)

Authors of selected submissions must provide a final paper for
publication in the conference proceedings. These final papers are held
in the highest confidence prior to publication in the conference
proceedings. By agreeing to present your paper at the NLUUG autumn 2000
conference, you also give license to the conference organizers that it
may be published in the members-only area on the NLUUG website.

Subjects will have to be discussed in depth (hence the title ;-).
However, the subjects themselves can but do not have to be about leading
edge technology. We foresee two tracks in this conference. One with in
depth discussions of leading edge UNIX related technology, and one with
in depth presentations about known practice.

As an additional note : talks can be held in Dutch or English.

Regards,

Fred Mobach
