3DGeo Sees Future of High Performance Computing in Linux Clusters - Company to
Use Linux NetworX Cluster System for Seismic Imaging Applications

SANDY, UTAH, July 27, 2000 - 3DGeo Development, Inc., a leading innovator in
3-D advanced seismic imaging technology, has purchased a 32-processor cluster
system from Linux NetworX to use in its high computation data processing application.
According to 3DGeo, the high performance computing market is experiencing a paradigm
shift from traditional supercomputers and large parallel servers to Linux cluster
systems.

"It's not surprising that the oil and gas industry already recognizes the advantages
of using a Linux cluster system over other alternatives. Other than the federal
government, this industry is the largest market for high performance computing,"
said Alexander Mihai Popovici, Ph.D. and chief executive officer of 3DGeo. "With
the Linux NetworX cluster system we've purchased, we expect to receive the same
performance as a supercomputer for one-tenth the cost. It's hard to ignore impressive
figures like 10-to-1."

The Linux NetworX cluster system will be used to perform various complex data
processing tasks, including algorithms exclusive to 3DGeo, for seismic processing
applications. The company plans to upgrade and add additional nodes in the future
to the scalable cluster system offered by Linux NetworX. Scalability, system
management tools, price performance and service/support issues are the main reasons
3DGeo selected the Linux NetworX cluster system.

"We're focusing on providing customers with hardware and software tools and the
service and support to make cluster management easy - you no longer need a Ph.D.
to reap the benefits of this technology," said Clark Roundy, vice president of
Linux NetworX. "As additional industry leaders, like 3DGeo, endorse our powerful
cluster technology, we anticipate the shift from supercomputers to Linux clusters
will accelerate."

About 3DGeo
3DGeo is a leading innovator in 3-D advanced seismic imaging technology, offering
state-of-the-art software and service solutions to the oil and gas industry.

About Linux NetworX
Linux NetworX (www.linuxnetworx.com) uses the Linux operating system to create
a reliable and cost-effective alternative to the supercomputer and server platforms
for organizations demanding high performance and low failure rates. With the
use of cluster-computer technology, a method of linking multiple computers through
high-speed networks to form a single and more powerful system, Linux NetworX
provides solutions for companies with high-computing needs, including Internet
servers, research, industry, government and other technological fields. Linux
NetworX offers products with extremely high availability, or uptime, that can
easily grow with customer needs.

About the Linux Operating System
Linux is a computer operating system that is distributed freely on the Internet.
As an open source project, Linux allows developers to share information, code
and suggestions to continuously maintain and improve the system. Linux NetworX
selected the operating system for its stability, reliability and rapid development.
