Hi:

We are pleased to announce that the "Linux Newbie Administor Guide" has
been significantly updated again. The homepage is:

Since the last public announcement, the volume of the guide has been
increased by ~30% and it is now almost 200 printed pages. We believe
that the guide is the BEST Linux newbie reference on the net :)).

We aim to create a complete Linux reference (GPLed) for a
computer-literate user who is/plans switching her home computer/small
network to Linux. The answers which the guide contains are meant to be
simple and with just enough detail. 

We welcome your corrections, advice, critisism, links, translations, and
CONTRIBUTIONS. The work is still very much in progress--we hope to have
a full reference ready in about 1 year. Pls note that there are no ad
banners on our home page.

Here is a short summary of what the guide contains: why to switch to
linux, linux requirements,installation issues, obtaining help, basics of
the command line, practical advice on common configuration problems,
networking for a home linuxer, startup info on programming, choice of
applications.
