Rave Computer Association Will Introduce New RackMount-5UAXmp System at
                           Internet TeleExpo
Rave Computer Association, Inc., Booth 359

(Sterling Heights, Michigan – August 31, 2000) Rave Computer
Association, Inc. will be present at Internet TeleExpo, held at the
Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Rave Computer plans to
introduce its new redundant 5U-rackmount system integrated with
SPARCengine UltraAXmp.

Rave Systems RackMount 5U-AXmp (RMR5U-AXmp)
The Rave Systems RackMount-5UAXmp is a powerful multi-processing server
designed for today’s highly compute-intensive server challenges. Rave
Computer Association, Inc., an authorized Sun “Master value-added
integrator,” integrates Sun’s UltraAXmp motherboard into a ruggedized 5U
19 inch rackmount chassis. The UltraAXmp motherboard is a scalable
64-bit UltraSPARC multi-processing motherboard with a unique Ultra Port
Architecture that enables the aggregate CPU bus bandwidth to be
increased to 3.2 gigabytes per second via a custom cross bar switch.
This large processor bandwidth enables scaling of up to four
UltraSPARC-II microprocessor modules (currently shipping at 450Mhz with
4MB cache). The system also supports up to 4GB of memory and has
integrated dual-channel Ultra-wide SCSI, and six PCI slots, four at
33MHz and two at 66MHz. The Rave System RackMount-5UAXmp redundant
chassis configurations feature 3N+1 power supplies, dual power ports,
and four 5.25 shock-mounted drive bays, with two additional bays for a
CD-ROM and a 1.44 Floppy.

The powerful multiprocessing features found in Rave Systems
RackMount-5UAxmp provides an ideal solution for telecommunication
servers, ISP applications or specialized industrial applications.

Other Rave Systems to be featured:

Rave Systems RackMount 2U-AXi-C (RM2U-AXi-C)
This system features an original Sun UltraAXi motherboard with
upgradable UltraSPARC-IIi processor integrated into Rave’s new 2U
rackmount chassis. More storage capacity is found in its four front
exposed removable 3.5” low profile drive bays, and one 3’5 and 5’25 bays
for removable media. The UltraAXi motherboard has integrated dual
channel Ultra-wide SCSI, three PCI slots, and supports up to 1GB
memory. This system not only offers more functionality in a 2U
rackmount chassis; it has been designed to be Ultra3 compatible.

Rave Systems RackMount 1U-AXe (RM1U-AXe)
This newest rackmount system feature an original Sun UltraAXe
motherboard integrated into Raves’ 1U rackmount chassis. The UltraAXe
motherboard has a singular embedded 300MHz UltraSPARC-IIi processor with
256KB external cache, and two onboard EIDE controllers, onboard ATI
RagePro DVD PCI graphics accelerator, and one PCI slot with PS/2
keyboard and mouse connector. The system supports up to one GB memory.
Rave Systems RackMount-1UAXe also features a 150-Watt auto ranging power
supply, two removable 3.5” drive bays, and one 5.25” bay. The system
can now be configured for two SCSI hard drives, or with a -48V DC power
supply.

Rave Systems can be pre-loaded with Solaris or Linux. All of Rave
Systems come with a two-year warranty and are manufactured at Rave
Computer’s Sterling Heights headquarters.

Pricing and Availability:
The Rave Systems RackMount 5U-AXmp with redundant power supplies will be
available to ship after September 15th, 2000. Base list pricing for the
RMR5U-AXmp is not yet available, and the base suggested list pricing for
RM-1UAXe begins at $2300 and the RM2U-AXi-C begins at $3500. Contact a
Rave representative for more details at 1-800-966-7283.
