SuSE Linux Brings Open Source Computing To Korean Markets

Europe's Leading Linux Distributor signs Joint Venture to form SuSE Linux
Korea Co., Ltd.

SEOUL, REPUBLIC OF KOREA and NUREMBERG, GERMANY, October 17, 2000 -
Today, SuSE Linux, the international technology leader and solution provider
in Open Source (OS) operating system software announced a joint venture
with, Information Network Center (INC) Co, Ltd., a South Korean IT Company.
Together, they are launching SuSE Linux Korea Co. Ltd. based in Seoul,
Korea.

With the new joint venture, SuSE extends its Open Source Initiatives and
development and sales activities deeper into the Asian market. "The Korean
IT-industry has grown very rapidly," said Dirk Hohndel, CTO of SuSE Linux
AG. "With INC as our partner, a well-established and thoroughly appreciated
company within the growing high-tech center of Seoul, we are ready to
deliver high-quality Linux and open source applications to our customers in
Korea".

Since its foundation in 1998, Information Network Center Co. Ltd. has
successfully established itself as an IT Publishing House. Their "Linux
Magazine" is a well-respected, high-quality publication and is the only
printed magazine specifying Linux and Unix in the Korean market. INC Ltd.
has built up a wide distribution network and contributes extensively to the
Korean fonts development according to Korean standards.
