Linux TechTracks is a series of almost 30 talks delivered by Linux Community members about various aspects of Linux and its usage. The TechTracks address technical, corporate and "newbie" audiences, and will run from November 1-4 (both days inclusive). The schedule is available online at http://itcom.linux-india.org. In the spirit of Linux and OpenSource, the talks are free of charge. The TechTracks are sponsored by Indian consumer electronics giant and leading ISP BPL. bplnet.com is largely built using Linux, which made this sponsorship both welcome and perfect synergy. As announced earlier, the Linux Community of India is also participating at the Bangalore IT.COM expo - arguably Asia's largest IT event of its kind. The stalls at the expo are sponsored by PC Quest, India's #1 Computing publication that has supported Linux since 1995 and has distributed more than half a million Linux CDs in India to date. PC Quest's sponsorship of the Linux India stall at last year's expo was the largest Linux sponsorship to date in India. Details of the stall and its exhibits are also available at http://itcom.linux-india.org. -- -------------------------------------------------------- Atul Chitnis | achitnis@exocore.com (PGP:6011BCB8) Exocore Consulting | http://www.exocore.com Bangalore, India | +91(80)3440397 Fax +91(80)3341137 --------------------------------------------------------
