METRO LINK JOINS THE MIPS ALLIANCE PROGRAM

Fort Lauderdale, FL, December 15, 2000-Metro Link, Inc., a leading
provider of graphics display software for embedded Linux and real-time
operating systems, announced today that it has become a member of MIPS
Technologies' (Nasdaq: MIPS, MIPSB) MIPS Alliance Program (MAP).  

As part of its membership in MAP, Metro Link will provide driver
development, customer focused integration services, hardware-accelerated
MPEG playback solutions and support for popular embedded operating
systems to the MIPS32™ architecture and MIPS32 4K™ family of
microprocessor cores.

Metro Link will also make available home automation solutions using
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP), OSGi, HaVi and VHN device connectivity
protocols.  Metro Link's Metro-EnableWorks platform can be implemented
for use in residential gateways, set-top boxes and other next generation
Internet appliance designs utilizing MIPS32 hardware architectures.   

The MIPS Alliance Program provides members with broad marketing
assistance, such as Internet and traditional marketing and promotional
activities, as well as sales and technical assistance.

Metro Link has 25 seasoned, experienced X Window/Linux engineers on
full-time staff focusing on video, 2D/3D graphics and MPEG support for
Internet appliances, set-top boxes and web pads.  Metro Link was also
recently selected by ATI to be a Technology Access Program (TAP) Partner
for their expertise in supporting ATI's next generation, MIPS-based™
interactive TV and HD set-top box reference designs for embedded Linux.
