You can find the ISO-image at: ftp://ftp2.ruf.uni-freiburg.de/pub/beta/sparc/7.1/sparc-beta1.iso There are some known bugs: o YaST2 Update: silo will not be installed, you have to run "chroot /mnt /sbin/silo -t" on the second console before you reboot. o When doing an YaST2 update on UltraSPARC, the wrong kernel image will be installed (the 32bit version, not the 64bit one). You have to install CD1:suse/images/sun4u/k_deflt.rpm manually before rebooting. o You can configure XFree86 4.0.2 only during the installation with YaST2 yet. (SaX2 does not work with SBUS cards yet) o If you have more then one video card, YaST2 may start in ascii mode o Sound configuration does not yet work o XFree86 4.0.2 does not yet work on Elite3D, Leo video cards as well as all PCI cards. The Sun TCX, CG14 and bw2 have not been tested yet - feedback is very welcome! If you want to tell us about your experiences, there is a mailing list for SuSE on SPARC <suse-sparc@suse.de>, you can subscribe to it at http://www.suse.com/us/support/mailinglists/index.html Bye, LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer/ 90443 Nuernberg, Germany When CPR fails, does the doctor order "Barium?"
