ImageStream Announces New Carrier Class Router

(Plymouth, Indiana - January 26th, 2001) ImageStream Internet Solutions has
announced that it will release its next-generation Linux-based router
product, the Carrier Pro. The Carrier Pro is a carrier class router with
PowerPC processors, dual CompactPCI buses, hot-swap WAN cards, H.110
telephony bus, redundant power supplies, and rear panel cabling.

The Carrier Pro will leverage the company's driver component technology
called SAND to implement a new Linux-based distributed processing platform.
The new platform will support add-on PowerPC cards that provide dedicated
packet processing for LAN and WAN interfaces. The company claims that the
Carrier Pro will be able to move at least 50% more packets than a dual bus
Cisco 7500 for about half the price.

ImageStream's President J.C. Utter commented, "Our customers have been
asking for a Cisco 7500 killer since we introduced our first router line in
1999. We knew the Carrier Pro would be a low-cost alternative to the 7500,
but none of us were expecting to deliver dedicated packet processing that
would rival the 12000."

ImageStream plans to ship the single-CPU version of the Carrier Pro in June
at a retail price of $14,999. Company officials say dedicated packet
processing engines and a 99.999% high-availability version of the Carrier
Pro will be available later in the year.

ImageStream is a supplier of Linux-based LAN and WAN solutions for small
offices, corporate LANs and WANs, and Internet backbone providers.

Internet and intranet servers, and network management software. In addition,
ImageStream distributes ISA, PCI, CompactPCI, and PMC WAN cards for Linux,
