February 05, 2001 - The beta version of Mandrake Security is available  

MandrakeSoft is pleased to announce the beta version of Mandrake
Security, based on Linux-Mandrake 7.2, released in alpha version on 28
december 2000. 

Its significant improvements are:

- functional web interface
- possibility of configurating the firewall part via the web
- correction of bugs


Thanks to the contributions of the Open Source community, the project is
moving fast and we encourage developers to add their contributions to
Mandrake Security.  To become involved with this new project, please
subscribe to the mailing-list by sending the following message:
"subscribe cooker-firewall" (without the quotes and in the message body)
to the address sympa@linux-mandrake.com.
