Rave Computer Announces New Enhanced
1U Rave Systems Thin Server
(Sterling Heights, Michigan- February 19, 2001) Introducing the new Rave
Systems RackMount-1UAXe, a 1U rackmountable thin server with a faster
processor, expanded memory capacity, and dual Ethernet to provide
reliability and robust performance for Internet and e-commerce
applications.
For today’s Internet related applications, Rave Systems RackMount-1UAXe
offers reliable and robust processing performance with additional
storage capacity. The RackMount-1UAXe uses a low profile 1U form factor
with the quality and flexibility you need. The Rave Systems
RackMount-1UAXe features a 500MHz UltraSPARC-IIe processor, integrated
dual Ethernet 10/100 Mbps network interface, and two front removable
disk drives.
Rave Systems RackMount-1UAXe Base System Features:
* 1U rackmount chassis
* SPARCengine UltraAXe motherboard with UltraSPARC-IIe 500MHz with 256KB
cache chipset that supports up to 2GB of RAM
* One PCI slot
* Two 3.5” removable drive bays
* CD-ROM
* Integrated dual 10/100 Mbps network interface
* Dual Integrated EIDE controller
* Optional audio and video module that will not take up a PCI slot
* Reliable operating performance of Solaris or Linux
This system has a full complement of peripheral devices such as USB,
serial and parallel ports. The standard 1U rackmount chassis features
include singular 150-Watt power supply with two front removable disk
drives and CD-ROM. This system is RAID capable and an optional –48VDC
power supply is available.
The Rave Systems RackMount-1UAXe is designed to meet critical space
requirements as well as providing ideal solutions for firewalls, server
appliances, web hosting server, or e-commerce kiosks.
