The training programme will be centred around Trustix' Linux operating system - Trustix Secure Linux (TSL), and Trustix' Linux competencies. In the initial stages Trustix instructors will run the training courses. The training material is based on Linux training courses developed by IBM centrally. Egil Lehovd, a Manager at IBM Learning Services in Norway, says: "I am very satisfied with this agreement providing IBM access to the expertise of the foremost Linux company in Norway". He adds: "I have the highest expectations to the co-operation between Trustix and IBM, with an objective to jointly develop the training programme further to include data security, firewall technology and Linux systems management, tapping into the competencies of Trustix." Frode Gerhardsen, Sales Manager Nordic, predicts a strong growth for Linux support, training and consulting services as more and more large companies in Norway are migrating servers to the Linux platform. The office in Oslo will also be a competence centre supporting the Trustix resellers and key customers in the region. IBM and Trustix are planning to take the co-operation in a direction where joint seminars are being offered, and new training packages as well as a certification programme are developed. Furthermore, Trustix will as an element in the joint programme offer training courses focusing on their own products, like XPloy - the leading systems management solution for Linux, and XSentry - the leading Linux network security firewall.
