BOULDER, CO, February 23, 2001 — Fourthought, Inc. announces the release of
Version 0.10.2 of its commercial XML (eXtensible Markup Language) Data
Server, 4Suite Server. Already proven in the areas of medical portals,
on-line communities and on-line business directories, Version 0.10.2 has a
broader range of features that goes beyond any other XML server on the
market. Additional features that previous versions did not have include:

•	4XsltDebugger,
•	4XsltProfilier
•	XSLT Repository Access
•	4SS Console
•	4SS Command Line Tools
•	4SS Narval Integration
•	4SS WebDav Support
•	4SS HTTP Listener

The advantage of having an XML server for businesses is that they are able
to start taking advantage of XML’s cost saving technology without wasting
additional time and money implementing it all themselves. 4Suite Server’s
innovative design makes it the first application server in its class to
incorporate standard XML technologies for transforming, viewing, querying,
linking and searching XML content in such an integrated way.

“XML is about choice. Through the use of XML, you are empowered to choose
between vendors, platforms, and integrators to build your systems around an
open technology. With an open-source product, you have many more choices
when technology advances occur in the future or the next best application is
available,” says Glenn Gasmen, VP of Business Development for Fourthought.

4Suite Server comprises internationally used and tested XML technologies and
follows well-known industry standards using the best XML practices. The use
of open standards means that a company has much more flexibility to adopt
solutions from any other vendors without having to scrap current systems.
With Fourthought’s experience the code needed to integrate other business
applications with 4Suite Server is minimal, manageable and extensible.

Acting as a black box, 4Suite Server can respond to application requests
locally or over a network. It is a highly specialized instrument for XML,
designed to fit into a company’s current tools and processes, providing a
smooth and manageable migration path. As a black box, the package allows
brick and mortar companies to migrate to an on-line business model without
excessive commitment to any particular vendor or having to start from
scratch.

4Suite Server’s focus on the efficient storage and processing of XML is a
natural extension of Fourthought’s 4Suiteä tools. The processing capability
includes RDF (Resource Description Framework), XSLT (eXtensible Stylesheet
Language for Transforms), and XLink (eXtensible Linking). It also has
multiple interfaces so it can be invoked from most languages and platforms,
including Java, C/C++, Python, Web Browsers, Oracle, Microsoft Office, and
UNIX to name a few. Technologies such as RDF and XLink bring the advanced
capability of knowledge management within the reach of small and medium
organizations.

4Suite Server is the precise tool for knowledge-oriented XML middleware
development. “We've designed it for performance and for easy incorporation
into other applications because we aren’t the hack of all trades, just the
master of XML,” says Uche Ogbuji, CEO and Principal Consultant.
