REDSonic to Showcase Embedded System Tools and Real-Time Technologies at
Embedded Systems Conference 2001

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. ¡V March 9, 2001 ¡V REDSonic, Inc., a creative new
force within the embedded system marketplace and the developer of the
flexible real-time Linux kernel, REDICE-LinuxTM, will showcase its most
up-to-date products and technologies for embedded systems at ESC 2001, the
world's largest event devoted exclusively to embedded systems developers,
at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from April 10¡V12. REDSonic will
exhibit its embedded Linux tools and technology through live presentations
by building a network appliance, an embedded multimedia device, and
demonstrate guaranteed quality of service (QoS) control by managing kernel
resources.


REDSonic will feature the following:

 	REDICE-Linux: REDSonic's premier offering, is a low-latency
preemptible kernel and includes a flexible scheduler which provides soft
and hard real-time performance while maintaining full compatibility with
existing Linux applications. REDICE-Linux is available for x86 and
StrongARM CPU architectures and soon will be available for PowerPC, MIPS,
and ARM7.
 	RED-Builder 2.0: A graphical tool for configuring, building and
downloading target images to the application platform. RED-Builder gives
developers the ability to build embedded systems for REDICE-Linux.
 	RED-Probe 2.0: A visual tool for monitoring the behavior of
real-time applications and kernel events.
 	RED-Kit: A complete hardware/software set-top box, which provides
application developers the ability to easily create embedded systems.
