Metro Link and DY 4 Systems to Offer 3D Graphic Solutions for
Military/Aerospace Market

Fort Lauderdale, FL, March 13, 2001 -- Metro Link Inc., the leader in
graphical display software for high performance embedded systems, has
joined DY 4 Systems Inc., the world's leading provider of mission-
critical, real-time embedded solutions, in a strategic relationship to
provide complete 2D and 3D graphical solutions for military and aerospace
applications.

Under the strategic partnership agreement, Metro Link will merge DY 4's
comprehensive OpenGL code with their own OpenGL code that was written for
LynxOS, Linux and PowerMAX. Over the last two years DY 4 had developed an
advanced implementation of OpenGL on the Permedia 3 chip set from 3DLabs
for Wind River's VxWorks operating system. Merging the DY 4 code into
Metro Link's single-source repository will enable all of DY 4's customers
to benefit from any of Metro Link's enhancements to the combined code set.
It also provides DY 4 customers with on-going maintenance and support for
future upgrades to graphics standards, operating systems, and product
enhancements.

DY 4's advanced range of COTS processor boards and modules support Wind
River's VxWorks, LynuxWork's LynxOS, and the Linux operating system. Metro
Link has supported LynxOS and Linux for years and just recently ported
Metro-X and Micro-X (their X Window System software) to VxWorks. Metro
Link will now add support for DY 4's hardware to their X server.

Morgan Von Essen, Metro Link President and CEO, commented that, "Our
software has met the needs of many military and aerospace applications over
the years, so we are excited to align ourselves with the industry's leading
designer and manufacturer of ruggedized high reliability board and system
level solutions." He added, "Metro Link's 12-year history of providing
mission-critical software makes this relationship with DY 4 important to
military and aerospace software developers who need power and reliability
in their ruggedized applications. Metro Extreme 3D (Metro Link's
implementation of OpenGL) and Metro Media (Metro Link's video extension to
the X Window System) will be particularly useful in advanced military
visualization."

Anthony Siregar, Vice President, Sales & Marketing - Worldwide, for DY
4 Systems, Inc., commented that "Metro Link's products meet the stringent
requirements for quality, reliability and advanced technology that our
customers demand. Just as in other areas of the embedded computer world,
the software applications developed by defense and aerospace equipment
suppliers continue to get more complex, more interconnected, and more
critical to the success of the mission. Our relationship with Metro Link
will allow DY 4 and Metro Link's mutual customers to reduce the cost of
developing and deploying robust, highly reliable graphical systems."

Metro Link's X Window System products include Metro-X, an enhanced X
server; Micro-X, a selectively reduced version of Metro-X based on the
customer's embedded system requirements; Metro Extreme 3D, for rendering 3D
graphics; and Metro Link Motif, the most reliable implementation of this
industry-standard graphical user interface.
