Bull and Trustix Partner to Deliver Network Security Solutions Will jointly develop and market new TrustWay and Trustix network security appliances PARIS; March 13, 2001 - Bull Infrastructure & Systems, the net infrastructure supplier, and Trustix, the leading provider of systems and security management solutions for Linux, announced today that they were entering into technology and marketing partnership covering security hardware and software for the Internet and e-business. Under the agreement, Bull Infrastructure & Systems, as part of its TrustWay security offer, and Trustix will jointly develop advanced security products for the protection of Internet communications for e-business. The two companies will jointly market the resulting products through their respective distribution channels. In addition, Trustix becomes a distributor of Bull's TrustWay VPN offer in Northern and Central Europe. In a first step, Bull will produce a new firewall appliance, integrating the Trustix XSentry Linux-based firewall software with the TrustWay Appliance hardware platform. The new firewall appliance will be manufactured at Bull's facility in Angers, France. This new firewall appliance will be available during 2Q 2001 and distributed by both partners worldwide through their respective channels. In a second step, Bull and Trustix will develop a new, combined firewall/VPN appliance, which would integrate the Trustix XSentry firewall software solution with the TrustWay VPN appliance solution. Bull and Trustix aim at developing the next generation security solution within the next twelve months, launching the resulting product in early 2002.
