OnCore Systems Establishes Operational Base in Europe

Appoints Philip Johnson as Director of European Operations

HALF MOON BAY, CA. - March 29, 2001 -- OnCore Systems Corporation, developer
of OnCore OS, the first embedded real-time OS to be based on a dynamic
virtual memory architecture, today announced that it has expanded and
established a wholly owned subsidiary in the United Kingdom to serve as a
base for European operations. To head its new European headquarters, OnCore
announced that it has appointed Philip Johnson as the Director of European
Operations.

Johnson brings more than 20 years of technical engineering, management,
embedded and microprocessor industry experience to OnCore, 15 years of which
were directly involved in channel building, technical sales and marketing.
Prior to joining OnCore, Johnson was Sales Director with Noral Micrologics
Limited where he was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing efforts
of Noral's advanced line of in-circuit emulators and debugging products.
While in this position, Johnson established and maintained Noral's network
of European and Israeli distributors, as well as managing Noral's technical
support organization.

Johnson will concentrate his initial efforts in building OnCore's
distribution channels and partnerships throughout Europe, Eastern Europe,
Israel and South Africa. Johnson is also chartered with building a local
technical support center and engineering development team to support the
growth in OnCore related activities in the region. Hiring has already begun
on this European support center, and it is set to begin operations in early
April. OnCore has also signed on and trained strategic distributors in
Germany, France and Israel with The Netherlands, Switzerland and the Nordic
countries due to be added shortly. Future OnCore direct support offices in
Europe are anticipated later in the year to assist local distributors and
their customers.

"Having direct involvement in the emulator and debugger industry, I've
witnessed system designers using more sophisticated microprocessors to keep
pace with applications that are becoming increasingly complex. With little
to no memory protection being provided at the OS level, these two factors
are now pushing the leading embedded OS's to their breaking point and the
cost of support is becoming a real problem," said Johnson. "When I heard
that the OnCore OS was based on a dynamic virtual memory architecture that
fully utilized Memory Management Units (MMUs) in today's microprocessors,
and saw that its scalable design was robust enough to add support for a
hard, real-time embedded Linux offering, I immediately signed up. I
realized that this solution was unlike any other, and had great potential."

"With the number of serious inquiries originating from OnCore's exhibiting
at three major tradeshows in Europe during the past six months and news of
the "OnCore OS" and "Linux for Real-Time™" companion products spreading
into Europe, we knew it was time to establish a base of operations there,"
said Chip Downing, President and CEO for OnCore Systems. "With Johnson's
proven track record and extensive knowledge of the industry, he was a
perfect match for the job and will be instrumental in establishing OnCore
Systems as a force in the European embedded space."
