Checkps 1.3.2 in kill scanning mode should now detect adore due to two additional tests as to whether a pid really exits (adore "fixes" the kill system call). This version is proabky avaialble from sourceforge and is defintely avialable from the checkps CVS repository on sourceforge, I will update the checkps home page version fairly soon. (It is probably worht noting that checkps has a test every fice minutes mode, which is careful to fake the process name---you can choose anything with any fake argumnet list provided it is not checkps). BTW aynone installation checkps is expected to understand what they are doing and there is only a tar ball---pckage management systems would make the program far too obvious.
