 1.  Linux Jobsite Webpage:

 2. Comdex Chicago:
 Julie Thornton (our marketing director) and myself, attended the
 Comdex Chicago conference and trade show at the beginning of April.
 It was certainly a scaled down show, compared to last year - but the
 LPI booth was a busy location, as we gave away prizes in a drawing,
 (books, Tshirts, software and exam vouchers)
 and spoke to many interested candidates and supporters.
 We would like to thank Key3Media who offered us the space at the Linux
 Community Area, and also to Linux Journal who assisted us with the
 drawings.
 Congratulations to the prize winners!
 
 3. Voucher Purchases:
 We are pleased to tell you that IBM and NEC have purchased large
 blocks of LPI exam vouchers.  If any other company is interested in
 bulk purchases, please contact me; wilma@lpi.org
 The discount program;
 Each exam = $100.00
 50 - 99 exams = $95.00 each (5% discount)
 100+ exams = $90.00 each (10% discount)
 
 4. Level 2 update:
 We have finished collecting data and evaluating results of
 the Level 2 JAS.
 We are in the final stages of confirming the remaining budget
 required for Level 2 development.
 We are preparing the objective writing phase and will also soon
 be collecting "critical incident" stories for both Level
 1 and Level 2.
 Stay tuned for more details..
 
 5. LPIC-1 Graduates:
 
 There are now 430 LPIC-1 graduates worldwide, as of March 31st 2001.
 Congratulations on this achievement - to you all.
 For those of you waiting for certificates, please note we are in the
 process of issuing the certificates for our March graduates at present,
 and our April graduates will receive certificates at the end of May,
 or the beginning of June.
