A little update for "PS2 Linux Kit" news.

SCEI began accepting subscription for the purchase of "PS2 Linux Kit"
at 14:00 today in Japan, and all of the 2,000 units (they had doubled
the number of units for sale) went reserved at 14:08. (i.e. They were
reserved at the speed of 4 units per second on the average.)

Their comment on their web page says "We are greatly surprised at the
popularity of Linux.  The number of subscription was more than twice
as many as our expectation."

(What an underestimation it was, if they thought they needed more than
16 minutes to get them all reserved... ;-)

They made dmesg output and (not that exciting) screen-shots available
on their web site.  BogoMIPS is said to be 392.40. (I know it's
just BogoMIPS after all, though...)
