Lineo To Offer InterNetShare’s AER Software
With Lineo SecureEdge VPN Hardware

Solution Provides Advanced Multimedia Services, Secure VPN, and IPv4 to
IPv6
Transition

See InterNetShare at N + I, Booth 8701

SUNNYVALE, CA (May 7, 2001) – InterNetShare, Inc., an Internet
connectivity
provider, today announced a marketing agreement with Lineo™, Inc. The
agreement makes InterNetShare’s All Aboard! Advanced Edge Router (AER)
software available as an option on Lineo SecureEdge™ Virtual Private
Network

(VPN) hardware.

The All Aboard! AER software will provide Lineo customers with the first
VPN

software solution to incorporate a built-in IPv4 to IPv6 transition
environment, coupled with encryption, secure VPN and multimedia
services.
Once installed, users do not have to worry about transitioning network
devices to IPv6. AER automatically configures new devices for IPv6 to
preserve a customer’s initial investment in IPv4 devices and add new
devices

with no interoperability issues. The user sees transparent connectivity,
no
matter where the resource is on the Internet or a VPN.

“The flexibility of the Lineo SecureEdge router platform for broadband
and
narrowband interfaces combined with the adaptability and transparent
connectivity of the InterNetShare AER software will allow OEM developers
to
quickly configure a SecureEdge VPN Router for a number of applications,”

said David Preston, InterNetShare vice president & general manager.

“The combined solutions that Lineo and InterNetShare are providing
through
the SecureEdge development platform will make a compelling Internet
hardware

and software solution for our OEM partners,” said Miles Gillham, senior
product marketing manager, Lineo, Inc. “For customers looking for IPv6
support with the backward compatibility for IPv4, the combined Lineo and

InterNetShare product will provide the perfect solution.”

The combination of Lineo hardware and InterNetShare embedded software
creates a solid environment for applications such as VPN router;
E-commerce
accelerator; high-grade firewall; Audio/video content relay; SOHO access

appliance with e-mail, usenet, and anti-virus; remote monitoring and
physical security control device, or gaming portals, according to
InterNetShare.

InterNetShare packages and distributes its AER software as portable
source
code for OEMs that want to embed the technology into access point,
gateway
and edge-node devices. The AER source code is available for Linux,
embedded
Linux or other popular embedded operating systems, or as a complete
hardware/software device for ISPs and corporate networks. Source code is

licensed at $75,000 royalty-free, and the packaged solution has a
quantity
one list price of $2,995. AER is fully compliant with all Internet
standards.
