From: David Faure <david@mandrakesoft.com> To: koffice-devel@kde.org Subject: KOffice feature-frozen for beta 2 Date: Fri, 11 May 2001 01:54:26 +0100 Cc: kde-core-devel@kde.org, koffice@kde.org KOffice is now feature-frozen for the 1.1 beta 2 release. As a reminder, here is the release schedule, also available on http://developer.kde.org/development-versions/koffice-1.1-release-plan.html Thursday May 10 =============== KOffice is temporarily frozen : bugfix commits only. Wednesday May 16 ================= Tarballs are made out of KOffice, for KOffice 1.1 Beta 2 They are made public immediately, and given to packagers for creation of binary packages. KOffice is open for commits again. Monday May 21 ============= Announce KOffice 1.1 Beta 2. On the whole I'm quite happy with KWord's current status, all the main features have been ported to the new engine and design, only some small bugfixing is still to be done. So the feature freeze arrives at the right time IMHO :) Time to speak up if you know any showstopper, or if you develop a KOffice app and think the schedule should be delayed. We'll have to start thinking about further releases and message freezes etc. soon :) -- David FAURE, david@mandrakesoft.com, faure@kde.org http://perso.mandrakesoft.com/~david/, http://www.konqueror.org/ KDE, Making The Future of Computing Available Today
