LINEO APPOINTS WINDRIVER EXECUTIVE AS SENIOR DIRECTOR OF CUSTOMER SERVICE


LINDON, Utah - May 16, 2001 - Lineo=99, Inc., a leading innovator in
embedded systems, real-time and high availability solutions, today
announced the appointment of Raj Sidana as senior director of customer
services for Lineo. Most recently, Sidana spent the last two years in
a similar position with WindRiver.

"I wanted to align my professional goals with my personal goals, and Lineo
has created an environment in which this is possible," Sidana said. "Lineo
has taken the embedded marketplace by storm by providing a compelling
business model with solid products.  The undercurrents in the embedded
market space are changing, and I believe Lineo will be the wave of the
future."

Effective immediately, Sidana will be responsible for coordinating field
application engineering activities, partner labs, education, technical
support and much of his time will be spent working with the professional
services group. He will report directly to Richard Larsen, Lineo senior
vice president of sales.

"Raj will provide the expertise Lineo needs to coordinate and facilitate
an exploding number of customers and design wins," Larsen said. "We are
fortunate to have Raj on the Lineo team."

Prior to Lineo and WindRiver, Sidana spent a year working for Integrated
Systems Inc. before WindRiver acquired the company. After the acquisition,
Sidana, as vice chairman of the customer support council, was instrumental
in ensuring the customer service elements of both companies were
transitioned to a new service model without a hitch. The council also
oversaw interaction between field support and product business units,
besides being the central policy making body for all customer service
matters.

Originally from New Delhi, India, Sidana received his MBA from the Kellogg
Graduate School of Business Management at Northwestern University. Among
other experience, Sidana spent five years with PeopleSoft in various
customer service functions including positions over education,
partners, alliances, and consulting and professional services.
