Europe's first ever Enterprise Linux Conference is to run alongside this
year's Linux Expo from 3-5 July 2001 at London's Olympia.

The conference, 'Integrating Linux into the Enterprise' will give delegates
an inside track into the benefits of open source for eBusiness. Sessions
will look at the critical requirements for open standards in electronic data
interchange (EDI) and the opportunities offered by open standards such as
XML. Other sessions will address the benefits of open source programming
for commercial projects and eBusiness infrastructure.

Keynote speeches over the three-day event will come from high profile
advocates of open source programming including IBM. Other speakers at the
event include pioneers of Linux's open source programming Cambridge hacker
Tom Yates and author and Linux expert Toby Miller.

The conference, aimed specifically at addressing the issues faced by large
enterprises, will run alongside the Expo which includes a round table debate
chaired by Dr. Simon Moores. Dr. Moores is a well-known technology pundit
for TV and radio and chairperson for a number of leading forums and IT user
groups including the eGovernment Forum. He writes for various publications
including Computer Weekly and The Observer.

Other topics under discussion will include systems management, information
security and secure networks. A session dedicated to bringing novices up to
speed with Linux and open source will also be included in the programme.

Linux Expo 2001 promises to be the UK's premiere Linux event following the
success of last years exhibition which attracted over eight thousand
delegates and around 70 exhibitors.
