Just move everything you have on your desktop into the Trashcan 
you see there. Now go into kcontrol -> Look & Feel -> Desktop 
and change the "Trash Path" to anything that fits your needs (i.e. it 
shouldn't be a subdirectory of your "Desktop path" anymore.
