website making it easier for candidates to register and find the
closest location for taking their exam.

    Vue tells us;
"The new Vue site will drastically reduce turn around times in
processing requests for new web logins, and once again improve
our level of service we provide our customers."

    They have 2500 locations world-wide.
Please check out their new look:

   2. Independent Sources of info for LPI candidates.

    2a. http://www.mlinux.org/projects/certified/

We have more independent sources of LPI information - one is from
our
supporters in Melbourne, Florida. Their website is an independent
look at the LPI exams, and we thank them for their work in helping
    candidates with LPI questions.

    2b. http://www.linux-praxis.de

Another of our supporters in Germany is also offering some LPI
    assistance to our candidates.....

or to congratulate yourself on some hard work - you can purchase our
LPI penguin (Elpik) and some of the funds are returned to LPI to
    develop the program.

    4. LPI Alumni

For those of you who have your LPIC-1 designation, you are now
invited to join the LPIC alumni....(there are now 504 LPIC-1

program, you will be able to contact other LPIC graduates and
eventually will be able to purchase LPIC products to
    proudly display your achievement.

    4a. Alumni Identity Cards

Support LPI Membership Cards and Win a FREE ELPIK Penguin!
LPI alumni and other interested persons have expressed an interest
in
creating credit card sized Alumni Identification Cards. These cards
will have the LPI logo and the name of LPIC graduates with their
    Level
of Certification noted on the card. A great way to demonstrate your
expertise in Linux administration, the cards will be available to
all
certificants once produced. However, there is a cost of about $1300
    for
producing a 1-2 year supply of these Identification cards. Several
    LPI
supporters and Alumni have generously made contributions to the fund
which was set up for creating these cards, but we need ten more
Individual sponsorships of $100 to order the cards. If you can
contribute, please send your donation of $100 using Paypal (at
www.paypal.com to wilma@lpi.org) or contact Wilma for alternate
    methods.

All contributor names will be entered into a drawing for an ELPIK
Penguin. ELPIK is a Tux penguin wearing a graduation cap and an LPI
tshirt, and would love to sit proudly on the desk of a generous LPI
    contributor!

    5. New Sponsor

We are very pleased to tell you that our newest corporate sponsor
of the LPI program is INTEL CORP.
    http://www.lpi.org/a-sponsors.html

We would like to thank Intel for their support and hope to continue
to work together as the LPI program grows.

    6. IBM Certifications;

LPI certification is recognized as an approved technical
    certification
that meets the core requirements for the IBM certified for ebusiness
solution technologist role. In addition, LPI certification is also
