From: Paolo Amoroso <amoroso@mclink.it> To: lwn@lwn.net Subject: Prototype cCLan announced Date: Sun, 03 Jun 2001 13:41:14 +0200 A prototype deployment of cCLan, the "comprehensive Common Lisp archive network", has been announced. cCLan is a Lisp software distribution project much like CTAN for (La)TeX and CPAN for Perl. Its goal is to enable users to issue a single command for downloading, compiling and installing a module or application and all the libraries it depends on. The current prototype implementation includes a few tens of packages for Debian's unstable/testing Linux distribution, available for the i386 and Alpha platforms from a single host. cCLan http://ww.telent.net/cliki/cclan cCLan announcement http://ww.telent.net/cliki/cclan-draft-announce Paolo -- EncyCMUCLopedia * Extensive collection of CMU Common Lisp documentation http://cvs2.cons.org:8000/cmucl/doc/EncyCMUCLopedia/
