Metro Link Announces Third Release of Metro EnableWorks™

FORT LAUDERDALE, June 11, 2001 - Metro Link, Inc., the leading provider of
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) technology and graphics for embedded systems,
today announced the newest release of three Metro EnableWorks(TM) UPnP
Software Development Kits (SDKs) for the Java(TM) Platform. The company
also announced the first release of its new Metro EnableWorks UPnP Gateway
SDK for the Java Platform.

With the second release of the Metro EnableWorks(TM) UPnP SDKs, Metro Link
strengthens its leadership in the embedded UPnP market. Offering reduced
memory consumption, improved performance, and additional interoperability
testing, the 1.3 release reiterates Metro Link's commitment to quality and
performance.

"By using Metro EnableWorks, our customers gain the advantage of our
experience not only with UPnP, but with embedded system development as
well," said Garry Paxinos, VP and CTO of Metro Link. "Our development team
is among the most experienced in the industry, our products among the most
mature, and our customers' products reflect this."

Metro Link has attended each of the UPnP Forum interoperability testing
events, and has performed extensive testing at each. Metro Link hosted the
second event, with the first being hosted by Intel (INTC), and the most
recent hosted by Microsoft (MSFT).

The Metro EnableWorks Gateway SDK adds a multi-device UPnP framework to the
product family. The Gateway performs dynamic configuration of multiple UPnP
devices, while allowing end-user configurability and maximizing resource
sharing between devices. Suitable for use in any system employing multiple
UPnP devices such as A/V equipment, set-top boxes or residential gateways,
the Gateway performs a critical role in complex UPnP product development.

The Metro EnableWorks product family is designed to reduce UPnP product
development time from months or years to days or weeks. Handling the
intricacies of the UPnP protocol for you, Metro EnableWorks allows you to
concentrate on what you do best.
