San Jose Mayor Gonzales Helps Inaugurate LynuxWorks' New Global Headquarters

City Council Member Forrest Williams, Redevelopment Agency Executive Director
Susan Shick Join in Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- LynuxWorks, Inc., a premier
provider of open source and true real-time embedded solutions for the post-PC
era, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to officially mark the opening of
its new headquarters in the Edenvale Technology Park in South San Jose.
"This building is a testament to the efforts of everyone at LynuxWorks,
not only here in San Jose, but at our facilities in Dallas and Denver -- and
around the world in India, Russia and France," said Inder Singh, chairman and
CEO of LynuxWorks, Inc. "From simple beginnings in 1988 with less than ten
people, we are now more than 250 strong.
"Our growth this year has been exceptionally strong. We have achieved
record revenues for the year as well as the most recent quarter," continued
Singh. "In these challenging economic times this is an outstanding story of
success and growth."
The new 70,000 square foot headquarters consolidates three local
facilities and gives LynuxWorks room for continued expansion. LynuxWorks'
operating systems are at the heart of many intelligent devices, from cell
phone switches and mission-critical airplane navigation systems to laser
printers and smart consumer products like Linux-based MP3 car stereos that
will enable people to take their MP3 music library on the road. The
fast-growing embedded Linux market will provide LynuxWorks opportunities to
offer its embedded solutions in numerous other end markets.
"The city of San Jose is proud to have LynuxWorks locate its corporate
headquarters in the Edenvale Technology Park," said San Jose Mayor Ron
Gonzales. "This office park is a prime example of the public and private
sectors coming together to find solutions that benefit not only the Edenvale
area, but the entire Silicon Valley economy as well."
"LynuxWorks' corporate relocation marks another significant milestone in
the evolution of the Edenvale Technology Park," noted San Jose City Council
member Forrest Williams. "With the help of the San Jose Redevelopment Agency,
the city of San Jose is making smart investments in our area, investments that
will help Edenvale evolve into the high-tech hub of South San Jose."
Susan Shick, executive director of the San Jose Redevelopment Agency, also
warmly welcomed LynuxWorks to Edenvale and wished the company continued
success.
