Successful LogOn pan European Linux@work 2001 tour attracted more than
2,500 visitors.

Final Report

Kronberg - June 30, 2001 LogOn Technology Transfer recently concluded
a successful pan European Linux@work series that stopped in 9 cities
and attracted more than 2,500 participants.

The Linux@work events were designed for IT professionals as well as
for the Linux community members and focused on real solutions for
putting Linux to work in business. Each event was featuring a
one-day-conference and an exhibiton area. Exhibitors demonstrated the
latest in products and services for Linux.

Linux@work took place in the following European cities: 

May 9, 2001 - Oslo 
May 10, 2001 - Stockholm 
May 11, 2001 - Helsinki 
May 15, 2001 - Frankfurt 
May 16, 2001 - Zurich 
May 17, 2001 - Milan 
June 12, 2001 - Paris 
June 13, 2001 - Brussels 
June 14, 2001 - Amsterdam 

The events series was officially supported by two of the most
prominent Open Source associations, namely the Free Software
Foundation and Linux International. Keynote speakers included Robert
Chassell, Founding Director, Free Software Foundation, and Jon
"maddog" Hall, President, Linux International.

Presentations focused on development issues, as well as on the
professional use of Linux. Many of the events were complemented by a
panel discussion featuring controversial opinions to the question "Is
Open Source Software threatening intellectual property?"

86.2 % of the events' participants judged the quality of the
presentations as good or excellent.
