SuSE to demonstrate the AMD AthlomTM MP at London LinuxExpo

Borehamwood, UK * July 2, 2001 - On the 4th and 5th of July 2001 at the Linux
Expo, Olympia, London, SuSE is pleased to host AMD, together with their
partner Max Black Ltd., in presenting their new dual processor Athlon server
systems for the first time in the UK.

Ruediger Berlich, Managing Director of SuSE Linux Ltd.  stated: "SuSE Linux
welcomes the availability of AMD's new dual processor technology to the Linux
community, and we believe this to be a major step towards delivering
affordable server class systems based on state-of-the-art technology".  

"The London's LinuxExpo is the ideal showcase for AMD to demonstrate the
recently announced AMD AthlonTM MP processor", said Simon Cole, Technical
Marketing Manager at AMD.   "The AMD Athlon MP processor is a high
performance, two-way multiprocessor designed for server and workstation
applications, offering high performance, scalability and longevity.   At the
show we will be demonstrating applications that benefit from the high
performance achieved with the AMD-760 MP chipset and the award winning AMD
Athlon MP processor running on Max Black's 1U and 2U server systems."
