Hi,

I mention the release of Mondo 1.0 and Mindi 0.27 because I have been unable
to develop Mondo at more than a snail's pace for the last year or so, owing
to personal and marital issues. However, I am pleased to announce Mondo v1.0
and I wanted to draw your attention to it, as you have kindly mentioned Mindi
already.

Mondo was the first program to offer 'free' CD-based full disaster recovery
facilities to Linux and Lin/Win boxes. The latest version works with ext2,
ext3, ReiserFS, JFS, XFS and VFAT. It lets you edit its "mountlist"
(partition mountpoints and sizes) before formatting and restoring. It re-jigs
lilo.conf and fstab if necessary (if you have decided to restore in different
formats, for example). It can 'nuke' your system and throw everything back on
from CD's in about 10 minutes.

Basically, it's pretty cool :) and it was stable 6 months before MkCdRec
(Mondo's closest rival) was first published.
