This is to announce the release of Trustix Secure Linux version 1.5,
nicknamed "MiddleWhere".

Trustix Secure Linux is Trustix' own open source Linux server distribution
with strong emphasis on security, performance and stability.

We release this version mainly to provide a number of features requested
by our users.

New features in TSL 1.5:

* SWUP.           Automatic updates, easy install of new software.
* PPP support.    Point to Point Netowrk Protocol.  Commonly used in dialup
                  networks.
* RP-PPPoe.       PPP over Ethernet.  Commonly used in xDSL enviromnents.
* Postfix-TLS.    Postfix with encryption.
* PHP4.           Dynamic web pages.  Now in version 4.
* MySQL.          Database engine.
* RPM 3.0.6.      The RPM Package Manager.  Now with support for v4 packages.
* Netatalk.       Appletalk support.  Support your Macintosh users.
* Kernel 2.2.19.  Better than ever.
* pump.           DHCP client. Especially useful for servers that obtain
                  their IP address dynamically, typically those that use
		  cable modem or xDSL.
* netcat.         TCP/IP swiss army knife tool.
* wget.           Utility to retrieve files from the WWW via HTTP and FTP.
* jwhois.         Whois client.
* libcap.         Allows easy access for applications to a better security 
                  model (capabilities) available in the Linux kernel.
* bonnie.         Disk benchmarking.  Time those floppies.  Or something.
* rdate.          Simple way of setting the clock from a network host.
* Python-bindings for OpenSSL.
* mkisofs.        Program to create ISO images.

Package highlights:

Samba can now be a PDC even to Windows 2000 SP2.
Sysklogd now runs as a normal user.
Xntpd now uses capabilites and runs as a normal user.
Modutils now supports kernel 2.4.

Notes on upgrading:

There have been some quite major changes to the distribution from 1.2 to 
1.5, and some of these will require manual attention when upgrading.
