REDSonic Expands into South-East Asia with a 
New Wholly-Owned Subsidiary in Singapore

SANTA ANA, Calif. and SINGAPORE, - August 28, 2001 - REDSonic, Inc., a leader
in real-time Linux solutions for the embedded market, today announced its
expansion into South-East Asia with the opening of its REDSonic SEA office.
REDSonic SEA is a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.

REDSonic SEA will follow REDSonic's business efforts of providing real-time
Linux solutions to the embedded marketplace by offering products like
RED-Builder™, an easy-to-use tool for configuring, building, downloading, and
remotely debugging target images to the application platform, RED-Probe™, a
tool for monitoring the real-time system, and SecureSOHO, REDSonic's gateway
and firewall software.

In addition, the office will provide engineering services, including
application development and porting services. Also, REDSonic SEA will provide
training courses and workshops beginning in the fourth quarter of this year,
including an introduction to Linux course, an introduction to building
information appliances workshop, an introduction to building robust Linux
systems workshop, a building information appliances course, and a building
robust Linux systems course.

For REDSonic, the opening of REDSonic SEA provides a window into South-East
Asia and access to countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and India.
