Today, Compaq and Mitel Networks announced a solution agreement targeting
the small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and remote offices. Compaq
will be shipping the SME Server V5 with ServiceLink solution from Mitel
Networks as a Multifunction Small Enterprise solution on their ProLiant
server platform. This new solution brings together industry leading
hardware and Linux-based software solutions that offer SMEs and remote
offices enterprise-level functionality through the ServiceLink network
services offering. ServiceLink offers a suite of powerful, full-featured
network and security solutions specifically designed for small and
medium-sized enterprises, bringing best-of breed services such as:
24 x 7 Alerts and Reporting: Provides round-the-clock monitoring of the
on-premise server and the
customer's Internet connection.
Virus Protection: Automatically downloads virus pattern updates to a
sophisticated
server-based virus-scanning engine, ensuring detection and blocking of
viruses and malicious code.
Guaranteed Email: Provides backup email collection and delivery to protect

their ISP link goes down or they suffer a hardware failure.
DNS Services: Provides the Internet registration and setup needed to enable
Web traffic
and email to reach a customer's site using a designated domain name.
IPSEC VPN Service: Provides a simple, cost-effective means of establishing
