on November 1, the Linux Counter is due to close the accounts of more than 
90.000 people who have registered long ago, and are either unreachable or 
failed to react when prodded by email.

This will cause this long-running project to lose almost half its 
registered users, but will result in data of much better quality (though no 
greater quantity).

Anyone who wants to keep on being registered should take a few minutes to 
visit the Counter site (http://counter.li.org/) and log in, just to make 
the statement that "I still count".
