From: bugzilla@redhat.com To: redhat-watch-list@redhat.com Subject: [RHBA-2001:135-03] Updated xemacs package available with apel-10.3 Date: Tue, 30 Oct 2001 22:42 -0500 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Red Hat, Inc. Red Hat Bug Fix Advisory Synopsis: Updated xemacs package available with apel-10.3 Advisory ID: RHBA-2001:135-03 Issue date: 2001-10-15 Updated on: 2001-10-16 Product: Red Hat Linux Keywords: wl-xemacs semi-xemacs Cross references: Obsoletes: --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Topic: This update of xemacs contains apel-10.3 which is required for semi-xemacs and wl-xemacs to work properly. 2. Relevant releases/architectures: Red Hat Linux 7.2 - i386 3. Problem description: xemacs in Red Hat Linux 7.2 contains apel-10.2, but semi-xemacs and wl-xemacs require apel-10.3 to build and function correctly. 4. Solution: Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied. To update all RPMs for your particular architecture, run: rpm -Fvh [filenames] where [filenames] is a list of the RPMs you wish to upgrade. Only those RPMs which are currently installed will be updated. Those RPMs which are not installed but included in the list will not be updated. Note that you can also use wildcards (*.rpm) if your current directory *only* contains the desired RPMs. Please note that this update is also available via Red Hat Network. Many people find this an easier way to apply updates. To use Red Hat Network, launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command: up2date This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate RPMs being upgraded on your system. 5. Bug IDs fixed (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla for more info): 53230 - semi-xemacs conflicts with semi in xemacs 6.
